Well at least as a mommy to a human child! We had Dad and Teen up with us so we were able to get a lot in!
Wade had his first doughnut. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first, just wanting to eat the glaze as it flaked off. But Grandaddy Wade showed him how to enjoy one properly.
We had a shower at church it was so well attended I opened gifts for almost a solid two hours. We are blessed with such a wonderful church family.
We then cooked out Saturday night and Sunday had our baby dedication service at church. Wade did great as the pastor introduced him to the congregation and we pledged to raise him in a Christian home. I even got a gift certificate for being the "newest" Mom. It's been several years since our church has had one of these services because there hasn't been ant new babies. What a blessing that four were dedicated!
We had Mexican food for lunch and after his nap loaded him up in the hiking backpack and took a walk around our woods. He seemed to like it but after about an hour we got him out and he walked a little bow legged for a minute.
I ended the night by feeding my furry son and giving him a good brushing....and we have a pretty pink mandevilla to plant and commemorate my first Mothers Day! Aunt Mary even painted his hands and made me a butterfly card so we can remember how little his hands once looked.

LOVE, love, love every bit of this post! Happy Mother's day, my friend!
Love all the pictures. I'm not sure which one I like the best---the Krispy Kreme (could be a commercial), the laughing in the back carrier with Dad, the one with Grandma and Granpa, or the one with Mom. All are so special! Thanks for sharing.
Agreed, love all the pictures and your post. Happy Happy Mother's Day. You too must have been raised by one very special Mother!
