We found Wade's "Brother"
When we visited the orphanage in Kaifeng with Wade this little boy ran up calling his Chinese name....Xiao Ran over and over. The nannies said he called him his brother.
I finally got time to post this photo and have found his family. They expect to travel in just a few weeks to get him. They live in Chattanooga so I hope we can get them back together for a visit soon.
Here is what gave me chills....he has a new brother waiting in TN named Wade. God certainly is here in this don't you think?

First Mothers Day as a Mommy
Well at least as a mommy to a human child! We had Dad and Teen up with us so we were able to get a lot in!
Wade had his first doughnut. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first, just wanting to eat the glaze as it flaked off. But Grandaddy Wade showed him how to enjoy one properly.
We had a shower at church it was so well attended I opened gifts for almost a solid two hours. We are blessed with such a wonderful church family.
We then cooked out Saturday night and Sunday had our baby dedication service at church. Wade did great as the pastor introduced him to the congregation and we pledged to raise him in a Christian home. I even got a gift certificate for being the "newest" Mom. It's been several years since our church has had one of these services because there hasn't been ant new babies. What a blessing that four were dedicated!
We had Mexican food for lunch and after his nap loaded him up in the hiking backpack and took a walk around our woods. He seemed to like it but after about an hour we got him out and he walked a little bow legged for a minute.
I ended the night by feeding my furry son and giving him a good brushing....and we have a pretty pink mandevilla to plant and commemorate my first Mothers Day! Aunt Mary even painted his hands and made me a butterfly card so we can remember how little his hands once looked.

First Hair Cut
Wade wasn't too sure about the scissors and trimmers. But Melanie is fast and able to cut hair on a moving target.

Wade meets Emma
Today we got to see a little bit of Emma's soccer game then have lunch with her and Paige. Paige adopted her about 13 years ago from China and she set my heart ion Chinese adoption as well. Can't wait to get to spend more time with them this Summer at the beach!

First Day Back to work for Mom
Wade doesn't look to concerned. We were up at 5 (I explained to him 6 or 6:30 will be sufficient)! We have had breakfast and I have showered. Daddy is staying home the rest of this week so he is getting ready now. Today brings a play date with Max, tomorrow the first pediatrician appointment then on Friday they plan on taking a bike ride....so doubt they will even miss me!
