What a Great Trip

Here is Atlantis shooting off to Space on Friday just before noon. Just experiencing this with others that drove down to watch this historic end of an era was a blast for me. Traffic leaving the island was really heavy...they say 750,000 were watching! We had time after that to head back up to St Augustine to tour the old castillo and do a little shopping.
We met Dad and Teen and her daughter Lindsey (with boyfriend Jeff) Saturday night for a nice dinner before all meeting at the Disney Cruise terminal Sunday morning. We all boarded together and here we are in the grand atrium next to Admiral Donald. The Dream is his ship.

What a nice way to spend our first anniversary. The waiters made our napkins look like big bows (atop our heads) and served us this special dessert to celebrate. The kids all got a big kick.

Lots of characters were available, luckily our little ones were a bit past standing in line for the autographs but we did get a few....here is Marshall and Minnie.

The Disney Dream is huge...and beautiful...and the service is top notch.

Uncle Mike and Alden getting into Pirate Night! This evening's dinner was topped off with a pirate dance party and fireworks out on the deck. Alden saw Jack Sparrow rapel off the top of the smoke stack down to the stage to fight off pirates...and looked at me and said "Aunt Leanne, thats the REAL Jack Sparrow....none of my friends are going to believe me" Thats the magic I love!

And Disney didn't forget the adults....this was our day at sea, I hemmed Mike's Hawaiian shirt and we all had some quiet time while we sailed the blue sea.

There was more to do than we could get too. If I had to do it over, I might have stayed on the boat in Nassau and enjoyed the ship. The kids clubs were amazing but our group sticked together most of the time.

We did something one on one with each kid along the trip....with Landon, we went up on the sports deck and golfed with Goofy.

With Alden, we fed and snorkeled with Sting Rays.

With Marshall we went parasailing!

We can't thank Dad enough for making this trip a reality. No doubt that the big kids had just as much fun as the little kids!

You've been missed, so glad to see what a great time everyone had! Time with family is a treasure better than any you'd find buried in a chest.

GP made a cute pirate, but what; no photos of him in his HAWAIIAN SHIRT?

Really!? One year! Well, Happy Anniversary! Looks like a super time. All those years we lived in Florida we never got down there to see the shuttle take off. We did hear a sonic boom one time when it was landing once. Nothing compared to what you saw.
