A day of more firsts...

Wade went to his first cruise in this afternoon. Mike is slowly getting the old Studebaker road worthy again. It's a 61 Lark convertible and the color is Flamingo!  I even found Wade the perfect cruise in Hawaiian shirt (it has old woodies on it) at a local consignment shop for $3!

There was even a car in his size that the owner graciously let him try out.

My first today was sewing on a piped binding. Mrs Goodneedle so graciously gave me a lesson and let me borrow her supplies. This was on my quilting bucket list and think it is going to really add a pop to Wade's 100 wishes quilt. Thank goodness the quilt show is approaching or no telling how long it would have taken me to complete this for him. Now to get the binding stitched down and add the label and sleeve!

It all looks good, the Studebaker, the Cruise-in shirt, the little car and driver, and especially the piping!!!!

The piping turned out great, I saw Wade's quilt yesterday and I had to smile...broadly! Well done. Love, love, love the Daddy-son shot w/ the car! :)
